שִׁינּוּיָא, שִׁנּ׳ch. 1) change, strangeness. Targ. Is. 28:11. 2) answer, reply, solution. Sabb.3b דמשני לך ש׳ דלאו ש׳ הוא he might give thee an answer which is no answer. Keth.98b ש׳ דשנינן ש׳ הוא the solution which we have offered is the real solution; Pes.12b; a. e.Pl. שִׁינּוּיֵי, שִׁנּ׳.
